I have a 2004 Honda CRV w about 15000 miles automatic.  The problem started about 2 months ago;  sometimes when I go to start it, nothng happens. no click, no sound.  The lights & radio & other power all go on but the starter does not turn, nothing!   This happens about one in ten starts.  What I then do is put the vehicle in reverse & push it back 1/2 foot or so, the I put it back in park & it starts (every time.) It has not gotten worse however it is consistent. It happens every 4-5 days or so & I keep doing the same thing (rolling it back a few inches in reverse) & boom, it always starts. Im thinking if I bring it to a dealer: 1) it prob wont happen on command & 2) they may say its something else that its not.  Any thoughts on what it may be would be appreciated. thanks! Is it an automatic or manual tranny?

okay, do this.  bring it to the dealer and ask them what the problem is.  they may have experienced the same problem with other cars of same model.  by the way, i believe it under warranty and you will not be paying anything for the replacement.  just make sure you ask them the question if it will cost you something.  then let us know.  it will help us too in case we encounter the same problem.
