I have a 2004 Pontiac Aztek with 4T65E transmission. When it shifts into 2nd its into neutral for a few seconds before grabbing into 2nd. It dont feel like its slipping on the clutch but after it grabs 2nd it holds good. It only does it sometimes and other times it shifts perfect. Temperature does not seem to make any difference and transmission does not run hot. I have changed fluid and filter already with no luck. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I was hoping someone would have a guess on whats inside that might be causing the problem, shift solenoid, accumulator, etc?  I had someone rebuild it and still has the same problem. I may do it myself this time.

well.. sorry.. it does not look like the transmission pros have looked in..

if you had it professionally rebuilt.. take it back.. not every shop gets every problem sorted out the first time off the rack.  transmissions are crazy complicated.. and i had a computer crash.. i lost my service /trouble shooting info charts for that transmission.
