I've been comparing the two makes for my current vehicle, a Mazda 626. Garmin's getting a lot of good reviews but Alpine seems to be the best in quality. It's also pricier.
Is Alpine worth the extra costs? Or would it be okay to go with Garmin? I'm considering the Garmin Street Pilot C330 (around $500).

Are you looking for like a In Dash touchscreen? Or a out of dash? Alpine has excellent sound quality and they have good navigation. You might want to consider some other brands if you are looking for in dash, like maybe the new Pioneer N3. There are alot out there, but if it were between the two of Garmin and Alpine, and if you are looking for indash, I would go with Alpine.

Thanks, Gr4v3 7. I've seen and read on Pioneer as well. Tend to be less expensive but got mixed reviews. Don't remember seeing the N3, though.
