57 chevy with a cast iron powerglideTransmission drives fine but when you shut the engine down fluid comes out the fill tubeI have not seen the car yeatI'm thinking cloged or no vent on the tail housingBob
cast iron powerglide burping... i seem to recall that there is an issue where the converter fill circuit dumps into the pan..overfilling the pan.. when you shut it off.. the converter is full of air and the pan over filled... this pushes the fluid out the dipstick tube... i was looking for the burb fix.. but i think it was discussed here several years back... i did find a site with a lot of parts..http://www.autotran.us/pgparts1.htmldon't know if this will help or not..
Thanks WauneI think I found the fixwww.sonnax.com/.../transmission/titles/cast-iron-powerglide-leaksBob
