57 chevy with a cast iron powerglide Transmission drives fine but when you shut the engine down fluid comes out the fill tube I have not seen the car yeat I'm thinking cloged or no vent on the tail housing

cast iron powerglide burping...
i seem to recall that there is an issue where the converter fill circuit dumps into the pan..overfilling the pan.. when you shut it off.. the converter is full of air and the pan over filled... this pushes the fluid out the dipstick tube...
i was looking for the burb fix.. but i think it was discussed here several years back...
