need location of oil pressure sending unit

i have an old 1991 lincoln continental with a 3.8 v6,all electronic dash.the car runs great but once in a while the oil press will cut up and set off a chime,this always happens running down the road not idling.could anyone tell me the location of this sending unit.it has 142k and uses no oil,thanks.

Can't tell you specifics on this one, but it is usually located on the block, look for a single or perhaps a two wire connection. Disconnect it and start car, if this is it, the oil light/gauge/chime should warn immediately of no oil pressure.

thanks for the reply robert,but i found it.transverse v6 front right under and behind powersteering bracket.
