Ford is killing off the Mercury Sable.  Full article

Will anyone miss it?  I doubt it!  

The Sable is dying this year because the Taurus is dying this year. Seems like a mistake to me, killing off two cars with a mostly-respected legacy behind them and a lot of name recognition, all to make way for a pair of Mazda clones (Futura/Milan) and another pair of Volvo clones (500/Montego).

There was nothing wrong with the Taurus that getting rid of the drum brakes, ghetto Vulcan V6 engine, and spicing up the suspension couldn't fix.
