Hi, I have a Mitsubishi Mirage 2001 and the CD player is not working. I bought this used car and initially it was working for a day or so. After that it did not really work. When I try to press something on the CD player, its asks for the code. Does anyone have any idea as to how to get through this. I did call the Mitsubhi dealer(Randolph,NJ) and he said he will charge $95 for that (it will take an hour for him itseems). Anyone have a better solution than this? Thanks.

usually the only way is to get it from the dealer but I have actually seen the code on a sticker inside or around the glove box area of certian makes and model cars. Chances are though that the dealer is gonna be the only way, or you could get a new head unit.

I found out doing a search on google that Infinity supplies the OEM radio for Mitsubishi. My advice is to check with Infinity Systems. They should be able to help you out.

i HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WHEN I CHANGED MY BATTERY. YOU WILL NEED TO PULL THE PLAYER OUT, RECORD THE SERIAL NUMBER AND CALL Mitsubishi (NOT THE DEALER) WITH THE SERIAL NUMBER AND THE VIN. THEY WILL GIVE YOU THE CODE.
