I am a 24-year old new car buyer. I've never bought a car before so I'm brand new to the experience.Since my budget is max $20,000 (all fees/tax included), I am looking for a compact car that would be good for a daily commute (less than half an hour each way, it's not bad).Any input on the Elantra vs Focus? Between the two, would it really come down to how good a deal we can get at the dealer, how it personally feels to drive in it, etc? Or is there some bigger issue I should consider?I am quite short on time since I will need a car ASAP but I don't have so much experience in purchasing cars...Any tips on the particular models or tips on what to do at the dealers would be super appreciated!!
They're both really good, comparable cars, when it comes to buying the car, definitely get the invoice price (what the dealer likely paid) if it's a new car, and the KBB Trade-In value if it's a used car, this will allow you to know approximately what the dealer paid, and don't pay much more than that !!!!
