I'm working with a dealer via internet. I am NOT a negotiator which is kind of where we are at in this process. I'm not sure what to counter with and would love some input. Vehicle invoices for 42951 based on consumer reports.
Vehicle 2012 Traverse 2LT, the dealers offer is:
$43,916.78 minus rebates $ 2,750.00 Tax 767.93 License is $218.00 Trade value at $36,000 and payoff at $34,170.15, Total amount financed $40,472.86 72 months at 2.99% is 615.52 per month
Yes I know I shouldn't go 72 months, but I am! I'm wanting to keep my monthly payment at $550 with nothing down except my trade/rebates. Anyone?

Definitely check the KBB value for Trade-Ins, I tell almost everyone this. Knowing how much the dealer likely got the vehicle for is really important when negotiating. Offer him something low, and he will counter offer somewhere in the middle. Best of luck to you :-)

I feel if you make this deal with 72 months of credit then it will cost you around $4k extra. So it will be better if you pay entire amount at a time or instead go for less month credit...

I would never go 72 months on a car. You may need to buy a different car. I am not sure that this is a good deal for you. There are a look of cars out there for a lot less money. Do some more shopping before you dive in. Please!
