I recently bought a BMW 745i. I need to consult, repair, I usually go to the repair shop and repair costs a lot. I am not familiar with this pattern of faults, please share your information, the disadvantage of the model, and how to handle them with the smallest cost? Or, if there are recommended such as tools, such as lifts, tyre dismounting machine or the like, before a friend recommended a lift, but do not know if applicable, please see. Thank you Read

since you did not mention exactly which year... different years have slightly different problems..

you are going to be much better off with a factory service manual from BMW.. and also a copy of the bentley publishers manual that covers your car also.. both are usually needed.. as they both cover the same car.. but the bentley is written for owners and the factory is written for trained mechanics..

you will also want a Baum tools catalog for BMW..

as for a tire mounting machine..   you can probably get along without that.. as they are NOT cheep... and you will need one that costs over $3K to handle BMW rims.. and the usual run flats..

there are probably going to be more BMW guys over in the imported magazine forums...  you will also find more over at the motortrend forums..

European Car
or
Eurotuner

click the source internet media icon at the bottom center of this page..  that will open a new window.. click the our sites tab..  there will be clickable links to the 2 magazines i posted..

if you posted a specific year.. and a specific problem.. i might be able to answer you..

last time i picked up a late model factory service manual..  ON DVD.. it was 7,000 pages long..  i don't really have the ability to describe all that is written in the service manual and the aftermarket manuals for each system..

you will at least need some kind of scan tool that will work with the BMW diagnostic system.

and find a good parts supplier..  both factory/dealer and aftermarket import specialist parts.. i am not talking about the local autozone.. someplace like bmaparts dot com
