Hello all,

I've been looking into family mid-size sedans for the past few months and have had discussions with dealers and mechanics. I want to know if comparing pre 2008 Domestic and Japanese cars is fair or accurate when looking aty newer domestic and japanese cars
Perhaps Japanese cars from the 1980s-2000's were hands down the top choice for people who wanted an all around good quality car. I wonder though, after learning of the US auto restructure and new CEO's, if domestic cars have become as good a choice as Japanese cars for overall quality/reliability/driving.
Because we only have hindsight of older cars for refernce, its easy to say imports have been historically better. But all things change.

The reason for my inquiry:
I'm trying to decide if I should buy a 2012-2013 Ford, Chevy or Nissan,Toyota

Best of luck on your vehicle search! As you deliberate, the Competitive Comparison tool on the Chevrolet website should be helpful to you - it allows you to place competitor vehicles side by side.

If I can answer any questions you may have about Chevrolet products, I'm here to help!
