Hey all! I'm new to the forums, but I plan on becoming a regular poster on here! Anyway, I've been wanting to get a sports car for awhile. Not anything really expensive, but just something I can be proud of and play around in every once in awhile, tuning up as I go along. I want this to be a long term car that I can work on over time. I was thinking a Honda S2000, but then again is there a better option for the price range? I want to keep an open mind on the matter, but I had a 2001 Honda Civic ex for my first car and I loved it and this would be like a step up in performance. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

the only other cars i could think of might be the mazda miata... or the mini cooper.
people with first generation miata's love them and also race them...
there are a bunch of magazines on this site in the tuner group.. where you might get more ideas..
European Car Import Tuner Turbo & High-Tech Performance Eurotuner Modified Honda Tuning Super Street
you can click the source interlink media icon at the bottom center of this page.. then click the Our sites tab to get clickable links to the other magazines..

The Mazda Miata is a great car. There are some other options as well, like Toyota Supra Turbo - 320 HP stock, RX7 Turbo - 320 HP stock. What you can also do is buy a Civic that has a B-series swap for around $6,000, get a motor built for turbo about $6,000 & also a Turbonetics turbo kit $3,500. So now you have a 300-350 HP street car that too only for for $15,500.

@justdriveit - if you are willing to think about a domestic vehicle I recommend checking out the Corvette as many of them you can get into at a reasonable price used and still in fantastic condition. Of course there is also the over-done Camaro and Mustang too. But the Miata is a fun car and so is a Mazda 3 or 6 Speed!

Hi everyone.
Can please give me an advice. Not long time ago I gave a birth to the second child in our family and now we are thinking of buying a family car. My budget is a $25.000. Now my dilemma, I don't know much about cars and have only every purchased VW. The problem is that VWs are really expensive and don't meet our needs. After doing quite a bit of research we have narrowed down our search to the following 3 vehicles:
2012 Honda CR-V 2.4L http://automobiles.honda.com/cr-v/ 2013 Ford Escape 2.0L EcoBoost http://www.ford.com/suvs/escape/ 2012 Chevrolet Equinox 2.4L http://www.chevrolet.com/equinox-crossover-suv.html
What can you say about these vehicles? I would appreciate any recommendations regarding the cars above and would value the input of owners with these cars already.
Also I've found the website http://carstraderusa.com/car-discount.html and it offers these cars at the price, which is lower than dealers' offers in my state. Can I trust them though? Is there anybody who dealt with them?
Thanks for your time.

Hello there!
Congratulations on your new addition to your family! Not sure if you've already used the Compare tool on the Equinox page to check out the different features of your choices side by side - that might be helpful as you consider.
I understand you're looking for feedback from current owners of these vehicles and so won't overload you with features. However, if you do have specific questions about the Traverse, I'd be happy to provide more details! Also, I can help you find a Traverse in your area to take for a test drive. You can reach me by email at socialmedia@gm.com (please put "Attn: Sarah" in the subject line).
Happy shopping, Sarah GM Customer Service
