Hello,

I own a 2008 Ford Edge.

I notice that when I run my air conditioning, or have the cool vents on for an extended period of time, there seems to be a build up of water under the front passenger side floor. Whenever I turn to the left, I hear a very clear sound of water rushing. I even had issues of water physically leaking inside my car on the passenger and driver side. It is even leaving a musty smell in the carpet interior.

I noticed that the water pump in directly below the area of issue.

Has anyone had this problem? What could be the issue? Please Help!

Thank you,

Mike

The drain on the A/C box appears to be plugged. Water condensation is a normal byproduct of operating the A/C and it drains to the outside of the passenger compartment through a rubber tube through the passenger side lower firewall. It might be easiest to access it for cleaning from underneath the car. Try a thin flexible wire to open the clog. Be careful though. Once you beak the clog, water may come pouring out so get out of the way.
