hi all!! sorry if my English is not good.. my car is mazda3 1.6 sedan model 2010. the trouble is that when I put the key in the ignition and turn to ON position, there was kind of faint sound inside the engine bay (even the engine is stop, I also turn off A/C, radio).. I leave it for 10 minutes but it still there. when I turn key into ACC or LOCK, it gone. I dont know exactly where does it come from and hard to describe what does it sound, so I have a video if it helps you guys to figure it out.. I make sure the ambient sound is quiet when I record this video, the sound you will hear in the video is what I am talking about. please help and thank you!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYgpFM0Ea40&feature=plcp&context=C350ada3UDOEgsToPDskLNtG2l5EZgZiIuu1gR1g8a

i would carefully disconnect the battery... warning. . the terminals might be hot..
it sounds like the starter solenoid contacts have failed and welded together.. or the positive battery cable has dropped across the starter terminal..
this is a MUCH larger starter than what you might have...
http://www.8-lug.com/tech/1004_8l_starter_solenoid_repair/index.html
this is more than likely what the starter looks like... this is s 2006 mazda3 starter..
http://contentinfo.autozone.com/znetcs/additional-prod-images/en/US/wwd/17909/2/image/4/
see the starter solenoid on the upper part of the starter.. the battery cable attaches to the left adaptor stud...
when the key is turned.. the solenoid plunger pulls in. and bridges the heads of the 2 bolts to send power to the windings..
if the 2 bolts have been shorted inside.. the starter will spin like it doing right now..
more than likely.. you need to replace the WHOLE starter.. its going to be warn out from all this running.. they are not designed for it..

the upper link shows how the starter solenoid works inside..
theory is the same..
the round solenoid is NOT repairable.. must be replaced.. usually cheeper with a complete starter/solenoid..
