Ok, so heres my problem, i recently bought a subwoofer with an amp, i have a sound system in my car. i was driving home and all of a sudden my subwoofer stoped working, so i turned it off right away and when i parked my car, all my lights were flashing (dash lights, car lights, trunk lights, radio lights etc) so i disconnect my amp and check if everything is alright, my sub is ok and amp wasnt hot. But lights were still flashing, i checked everywhere ! then i decided to take my radio off and boom, lights stoped flashing.... Whats going on??? oh and 2 weeks ago i changed my right front flasher and now its already burned, is this related ? can anyone PLZ help me

take it back to the installer.. the have hooked it up to the WRONG wires...

you could also have a fairly new car and have screwed up the CAN system.. Controller area network..   this is what the new cars work with.. sort of a remote control for almost everything in the car..

push the window switch.. it creates a data packet that is sent to the BCM or ECM...   they decide if there is enough power to operate that device.. so they create a data packet and send that via the CAN to the module that controls that device..

when you disconnect something.. or plug something into the system..  the computer cannot see that module any more..  so the packet just gets bounced around the can network again and again.. until the system slows down and stalls..

the engine is on one system.. the air bag on another..

the rest of the car is on the last..

there have been jeep grand cherokees.. where somebody installed an Ipod adaptor.. between the radio harness and the factory stereo.. this caused the entire body control to eventually stop working..   the doors would not unlock with the key fob.. the interior lights would not come on..  the windows would not go up and down..  the dash board was blank...  the jeep could still be driven..  unlocked with a key and started to drive it..

when the ipod adaptor was removed.. everything started working again instantly..

please.. DON"T go probing around with a test light..

you have to use the factory service manual...  and at least a logic probe...  they are under 20 bucks in some stores..

hard to really know...

you have NOT given us ANY IDEA OF what kind of car it is.. what year.. what model....

who knows where the installer hooked into the wiring..

i looked at one truck where the alarm installer hooked into the wrong wire..  oops.. burned out the ECM..

hi..Stewartribeiro

See I don't think their is any connection between your amplifier and flashing lights. It might be some technical issue. My suggestion to you is to visit a service center to get correct solution...
