92 Sunbird, 133k miles. Had a slipping reverse only and fluid was burnt.
Changed fluid and filter , ( not much clutch material in the pan)
Now no reverse at all , added Lucas trans stuff and a little old fluid back in to try to fix it but no worky.
All forward gears work fine, someone suggested reverse servo seal is the problem?
Thanks, Doug

Most likely the low reverse clutches. Put it manual low while driving about 8 miles an hour and see if you get engine braking. If not then your low reverse clutches are gone.

If there is 1st gear( im back in AZ right now, cars in PR) which I remember it having, what else could it be? ( thinking of taking a tranny back to PR with me)
Valve body reverse piston? clogged? sticking?
Thanks , Doug

Reverse is the direct drum and the low reverse clutches. The direct drum is also applied in 3rd so if 3rd is not slipping or it is not flaring badly on the 2-3 shift then it is most likely the low reverse clutches. If the low reverse clutches are gone you would still have 1st gear but in manual low you would not feel the engine braking the vehicle. You need an overhaul.
PS:There is no reverse servo on a 125.
