Hey guys,

I finished installing an aftermarket deck into my 750IL. The deck turns on and seems to function fine, but I'm getting no sound from the speakers... I wired everything into the stock harness from where the old deck use to be (I was trying to be able to still use the stock amp, since I don't think the 18rms x 4 will power all 10 speakers...).

Anyway, to get to the chase. Any ideas on what's going on with this? The deck is slightly older (alpine iva-d100). And it comes with a small external amp, but as I said before, I don't feel as if it'll be able to power all 10 speakers.

Should I try to bypass the stock amp and see what the little alpine amp is capable of? If so, how? Or can I just get them to both work together...?

Anyway, please let me know on what you all think about this. I'd love to get it all up and running.

you are probably going to have to bypass the factory amp.. or figure a way to turn it on...

the factory stereo probably had a wire to activate the amp...

since you did not post an exact year of your beemer. i cannot look up the exact wiring diagram for the audio system.. some are available online..  try to google it...

there is a specific car audio magazine on this site..  with a forum that your user name and password..
