I purchased my vehicle from AutoRama about 3 months ago. The salesman was really nice and the quality of the vehicles was very impressive! I was able to visually inspect the vehicle at my own pace at their indoor facility. The sales man kept shoving the CarProof in my face and telling me that the brakes were just recently replaced and the oil was changed just the other day. I looked over the CarProof and 3rd party inspection and all looked well! Took the car for a test drive and it ran excellently! All the electrical was working and the brakes felt brand new! Car was very very clean and everything looked fine.
So about a week after purchasing the car, the battery died on me. I figured that it was kind of early to have the battery already going...the car was only about 4.5years old with 120,000km(kind of high but at least the previous owner actually DROVE the car). So when I jump started it, on my driveway, I noticed that the battery was "EconoPower" brand! wtf! What happened to the stock battery?? and why was this replacement battery already dead?? I bought a new one at a the local can.tire and approx 3 months later I took the car for an oil change at Mr.Lube to keep my warranty valid. Mr.Lube btw was excellent and I will go back to them for sure.
So during my oil change, the attendant tells me that I don't have any oil in the car and that I have sludge building up. I see the dipstick for the first time and sure enough, no oil. Now this is of course my own fault since I didn't bother to check the oil level for all this time, but I was gullible enough to take the salesman's word on the oil change. I can always buy a new battery, but driving the car w/o oil could seriously damage it!
Right now, everything's fine though and I'm hoping I won't have too many headaches with it for the next 5-10 years.
So that's my rant! Take it for what its worth.
I give AutoRama 1 star for the quality/selection of their stock.
