I need to replace an 18 year old Mazda 626 that I take back and forth to the train station on a daily basis. I really like a 2009 passat but was concerned about reliability so I have been focused on certified preowned models which seem to run in the $18k to $20K range. I was also looking at a 2009 accord in the $18k range. I was not as concerned about a certified honda model as I feel they are pretty reliable. Passats also run on premium gas and look more expense to run. Any advice would be appreciated.
