Hi Have a 99 Sonoma 2 wd. 61K miles, fluid and filter changed every 30K. Does not go much in winter. The other day when I shifted into drive or reverse it had a zzzzzzzzzzzz sound before it went into gear. The ambient temp was about 20 deg.
I then warmed the engine up to operating temp and the shift was normal clunk.
Sounds to me like high pressure leaking by somewhere, no idea what it could be.
