I welded 2 pieces of angle iron together and ran both of the discs for 30 minutes each on a frame. CGW wheel was a harder wheel and required a little more force to hold in place while grinding. It did provide a more aggressive grind compared to the Benchmark flap disc

what's all the flap about...
i use a worn out flap wheel behind a fresh flap wheel to move the new one to just above the level of the grinder shield.. allows me to use the entire surface of the wheel to create a different pattern.

i raise you one...

i use flap wheels all the time... you don't want to know what i was doing with a flap wheel just 2 nights ago...
i was reshaping a car part to fit slightly better against a worn surface..
did i mention that i used to work at a shop owned by a fellow from Peru... some of his techs were from peru also.. one of the techs brothers was up taking classes in auto body repairs..
when i found this out.. i said to him. say.. thats kinda dangerous to do body work in peru... how do you get the llamas to hold still while you spread bondo on their fur.. and how do you stop them from stampeding when you turn on the grinder to smooth it down... he was so furious. his eyes seemed like they were going to pop out of his head.. the rest of the staff there were doubled over laughing ..

There are certainly a lot more details to take into consideration, but thanks for sharing this post.
