Hi im new to the forum so please forgive me if im not savvy   , anyway long story short I own a 98 Hyundai Coupe and live in England, I want to order a short throw shifter for it but the only ones I can find are in America and they are for US spec Hyundai Coupes which are Tiburons. I know the engine is the same and im sure the gearbox is but im not 100%.

My main question is will that matter? Are the gearboxes the same even though they are driven on the other side? Im sure they are but I really want to make sure as im only 18 and I dont want to be spending £90 on something that doesnt fit my car once it arrives, any information is welcome.

post the brand of the short throw shifter and model you are thinking of..

i would look for the manufacturers installation instructions online.. read them see if they compare to what you have..
