03 caravan 3.8L

When it's raining seems the the serpinine belt is sliping causing hard steering and a couple of times the battery light came on and stayed on for a while.

Do thse belts get hard and loose their grip when they get old?

i think there is a TSB on the belt tensioner...

there should also be a splash panel to block some of the water from the right front wheel from splashing directly onto the belt..

i don't see a specific TSB on that issue...

if the panels is missing.. or not installed.. water will get in and ruin your day..
