Somehow I bumped my automatic transmission from drive to neutral at a red light. When the light turned green and I noticed what happened, I think I shifted back into drive when I still had my foot lightly on the gas. The tires squealed a bit (road was wet) and there was some vibration (maybe traction control?) for a couple seconds and then everything was back to normal.
Should I be worried that I might have damaged the transmission? The car drives fine.

this kind of stuff is very hard on transmissions.

Unless the vehicle starts to display symptoms, it sounds as though it is operating fine.
For the sake of having peace of mind about it, bringing it to your servicing dealership for a look over never hurts.

Its possible that you damaged a part that is still working fine but will break prematurely in the future but having the car looked at now will not help prevent or predict any possible damage so don't waste your money.
