Hi all, I have a 1997 Dodge Avenger ES 2.5 engine with 131,000 miles. It is time to replace the tires and I was wondering which tires I should go with that will give good mileage but are reasonably priced. Living her in Columbia, SC we do get some snow so I will need an all weather tire. I was looking at Nexen N5000 but not sure about them. I do see that my local Pep Boys is running a sale on them. The car still runs decent, it does need front axles, but all in all is still in pretty good running condition. I am open to any suggestions. Thanks.
hi the nexens you are looking for will be ok. it is important to balance cost with effectiveness for the conditions you will be driving in. my opinion of 40 years experience is to stick to a good mid-range tyre such as toyo or kumho or hankook, and ring round o few tyre shops. you should be able to get a good deal, especially in this bad economic climate. hope this helps erik tyre specialist
