hey all, i have 4 falken tires 255/40/18 each. they started getting pretty bald last year, but I never did anything about it. now they are so bald I cant drive safely in rainy weather. I cant find any tire that is that size for cheap. Can I fit any other size on the wheel? like 245/45/18? Cause they are a lot cheaper than 150 a tire.

According to Discount Tire, the following tires will fit:

215/45-18
225/45-18
235/40-18
235/45-18
245/40-18
255/40-18
265/35-18
265/40-18
275/35-18

- BUT -

You will need to compare the allowable rim widths for each size to how wide your wheels are.  If you use a tire that is too wide (or too narrow) for your wheels, then you'll wind up with wear problems - which will completely negate the cost savings you are trying to achieve.
