Hello!

My Cavalier has already Goodyear Sport GPs-3 tires which are about 6 years old.

These are 195/70/14 load index=91   speed index=T

Im thinking about replacing them with

Toyo tires Proxes Vmode 215/60/14 which are also load index = 91 and

Is it reasonably to do this?

I mean, would they fit?

Thanks!

Yes, thanks, now I checked Discount Tire and they say even a 225/60/R14 will fit so I think I will be fine with 215/60/R14

I just wonder, decreasing the tire diameter (as Im about to do by buying those tires) what consequence (good or bad) might have?

Thanks

This is in the direction of worse fuel economy.  It also directionally toward better handling, worse wet and snow traction and worse ride.  However, differences between tires have greater affects than this change in size.
