Hi all, I've got the job of selling my folks old truck for them. Thing is, the chevy has been sitting in the driveway for 5 years undriven. It does run after a battery charge though it seems the power steering was out. I've heard that sitting that long can cause problems with the engine, fluids, seals etc.. How much should that effect cost?
thanks in advance (not sure if this is the right forum for this question.

i would check the power steering fluid level first..
work the wheel back and forth.. the pressure relief valve in the back of the pump might just be stuck from sitting..
you did not mention what year.. or model...
a while back.. another poster came up with carpricegraph c o m.. use usa for the area.. you can then sort by year..
this way you can see what they are selling for around the country .. there is a graph at the top also..
post the info for the truck .. year.. make model
old chevy trucks depending on the year.. don't diminish in value much..

Thanks for the reply and the link. Its a 2000 Chevy Silverado LT/Z71 package. Hmm, so 5k sounds like a fair value.
