Hi I currently own a chevrolet 2006 2500 hd. The problem I am experiencing is that everytime I go to put gas in my truck as I begin fueling my filler neck fills faster then the air that is pushed into the tank can be circulated back out. The problem is that i can only put about 4$ in at a time then i have ro allow all the gas to be deposited. I belive that the air release hose that runs parallel to the filler neck is clogged. I have taken a high powered air compressor with air blower and blown air into the hose and have took a wire snake and gone as far in as it would allow me. Neither solution has worked so far. I am wondering if there is a solution to this or if I need a new filler neck, any suggestipns would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Also note there is a wistleing sound from air release pipe as fuel is funnled into gas tank

hmm...  won't fill...    there is the big tube and hose into the side of the tank.. for filling the tank..

there is a smaller hose from the side of the tank to the side of the filler neck just below the cap that lets air trapped in the tank escape into the filler neck to prevent air locks like you are having...

you can usually remove item 20.. the filler neck with the tank installed..   so you might be able to check for debris in it and in the filler neck hose.. once in a while the filler neck hose gets a kink when the tank is removed and replaced..

there is vent hose 15... that has to be free to flow..  it might have gotten pinched between the top of the tank and the cross rails on the frame where the tank is mounted...

please.. try NOT to use compressed air to blow through the hoses.. the pump assembly has a bunch of stuff attached .. there is a pressure sensor that can be damaged and several expensive valves that are not shown individually..

if you start getting codes in the P0400 range..  you might have damaged one of these..

and.. if you don't have any thing in the truck.. its sometimes easier to remove the bed to access the top of the tank...  than it is to drop the tank working almost blind from under it..
