my toyota corolla year 2000, model 1.9 diesel E11WZE110, is now and again holding in, which could be the fuel pump I am told. But she starts fine all the time and the problem has not gone worse. It is allready stationaire for 5 months and I have done a lot of kms. Can it be something else ? The car is old and a new fuelpump installation might be more expensive than the car is worth at the moment. Thanks for any help on this subject.
as i translate this into US version of english..sometimes it won't have enough power to accelerate the car to speed.. .. it always starts.. and idles.. toyota did not import any diesel corollas to the united states so i am not familiar with diesel diagnostics on this..i am wondering if you have a clogged fuel filter..water in the fuel..bad fuel...air leaks in the fuel supply system.. between the in in tank pickup and the high pressure fuel pump..could the fuel fill tube from the gas cap to the top of the fuel tank have corroded and is letting water from driving in the rain into the fuel tank??? could there be an in tank boost pump that could be failing to supply enough fuel for the engine driven pump to operate the engine.. or the strainer on the end of the in tank pump is clogged...usually on toyota corollas you can access the in tank pump from a cover under the back seat.. can you give us a hint at which country the car was delivered to.. i know there are US models.. european models.. home market models built to japan emission spec.. and then world models...all are built with the same basic components.. its the variations that count.. could you include the additional 7 digits after the E11WZE110 after the E11WZE110 there should be an L... then 6 or 7 more letters.. like E11WZE110L-DEMRKK or DEMXKA...the parts search found 3 different builds.. US spec.. canadian spec and taiwan spec.. there are probably more..
