older motorhome, trans works fine, but quick shifts into 2nd, 3rd, on takeoff. downshifts correctly on stopping. will work well on manual shifting. any suggestions would be appreciated. it is 79 dodge chassis 440 engine, 727 trans. thanks, jerry

Be sure that the detent rod is hooked up and adjusted properly. Adjust the rod longer for later shifts.
