hey everyone, I think I may have screwed up my car, but hopefully you can help. I was loading some furniture in the back of my trunk and had to let some wood beams stick out of the trunk. I tied the trunk down with twine using the latch on the bottom part of the trunk and a bundle of wires wrapped in electrical tape on the upper part of the trunk (it seemed like a good idea at the time as it was the only thing in the upper part of the trunk that could be tied to). As I was driving home (the drive was 4 hours long), all the lights on my console and radio went out, except for the odometer and the clock on the radio. I was worried that tieing the trunk down may have severed/pulled some wires, so I checked the bundle of electrical tape, and apparently the trunk had worn through the tape and seemed to have skinned a wire. I'm not sure if did any more damage. headlights work fine, so do turn signals and brake lights. It just seems like the console lights are out. I tried replacing fuses, but to no avail...i feel like it's gotta be something with that wiring.
Would the wiring for the console/cluster lights reach all the way in the trunk? Any ideas on what I should do or look for? I don't want to go back to the dealership b/c I've had a bad experience with them and would really like to avoid it. Please, I'm begging for any help/advice anyone has to give.
Thank you very much.

Just open up that "bundle" of wires, they are color coded, repair all broken and worn sections. Check all fuses and relays and you should be "good to go"
