Dear sir > > I have a question regarding an used car that my husband & I bought few months ago, and hope u can help, and I am Asian and hope my explanation is understandable and clear. > > 3 months ago, we bought a Cadillac Escalade used car at Audi dealership, and there is no bill of sales sticker or notice on the car window to explain the details of the used car and we had no experience of asking it, and they only show what is the cost at the front window. Escalade had 43K miles at that time, we tested drive the car and decided to buy the car. After we drove the car back home that night and just realized that the central lock is not working at the back seat. When my husband tested drive the car, I was sitting at the back which the salesman opened the door for me at that time, and he did not even mention this to us until we drove the car back and cannot lock our door, and I can guarantee that he knew the door lock is not working properly and he had to unlock the front door manually to open the back seat door for me to get in. > > > After that, we heard squeaking noise under the car's bottom when we have sharp turn, and drive on the driveway curve, and we have no time to bring the car to Cadillac for checking. And I seek advice from my coworker's husband who works at Mercedes, he said he can help to spray the suspension with AW40. After we took the car to their house, and he said it is after market suspension/spring that he cannot do anything for it. And we took the car in to Cadillac to verify the squeaking noises again, and the technician checked and confirmed it is after market parts that will void the warranty and this was not disclosed to us when we looked for the car at Audi. > > After all, we called Audi to verify again, and they said it is employee's family deal that traded in with their Q7, and they checked with their employee and confirmed it is after market suspension to slightly lower the car.Dealership salesman asked us to get the part number and pricing from Cadillac, and bring the car in, and they will take care of it. After 2 day, we heard nothing, and we called for status. Service department did not know the reason we brought the car in, and we explain over and over again with different sales person since they kept passing the responsible to others and delay us. > > Now, they are not responsible for the change and put the original part back to stock. This is after market parts that was not disclosed and Cadillac said it voids the warranty.
> After few conversation, Audi said they will fix it themselves and buy the parts, and we will be responsible their labor of $600. I understand that car dealership has special prices on purchasing parts from other dealership, and they are asking us to pay for their Company labor which only take less than 4 hours to replace (already verified with Cadillac), and I know their hour rates are far less than $600, so it means we are paying everything and making money out of us. > > I will need advice/right as a consumer. We had been taking the car to Cadillac for at least 5 times in less than 4 months just to fix some minor things that we had been discovered, and those are small, but after market suspension does bother as it makes noises. The car is still at Audi for more than 2 weeks and still pending for reply. I have nobody to get advise from, please help!!
Thank you for your time. > >
