My car seems to run fine but it recently started making a rumbling/ wobbling noise from the engine. I think it's coming from the rockerbox. I think it may be the timing chain or the cam sprocket but I'm not completely sure. I can't afford to take it to a mechanic but if I can figure out what it is, I can fix it myself.

Any help would be much appreciated  

most autoparts stores sell a automotive stethoscope. for around 10 bucks..

you can use that to diagnose the exact location of the noises..




its hard to narrow noises down over the internet...   there are lots of things that can make noise..

Have you checked the engine oil level.... and the transmission oil level...
