I have a 95 Wrangler with a 2.5liter 4 cylinder. When you try to start it cold, it will crank and crank, but will not start. After about 4 or 5 minutes of cranking the ASD relay and fuel relay start to chatter. When they stop chattering you can hear fuel pump kick in and pressurize fuel rail. Wait about 60 seconds and turn key and it starts up and runs perfect. Will start up right away when engine warm, but if engine cool off, you start process all over again. Fuel pump, filter, all relays are new. Need help!!

i will come back later today... give you an answer.. i have to look at the wiring diagrams....

could be anything from a bad ground wire..  to a bad positive side wire...

do you have a digital volt meter?????

set it to 20 volts DC...  start the engine.. turn on the headlights..

1.   measure across the battery...    positive post to negative post..

14.1 to 14.7 volts is expected... your reading ______________

2.  measure from the negative battery post to the engine block... 0.04 volts is expected...    your reading..._________________

3...measure from the negative battery post to the body...   0.02 volts is expected....  your reading.._____________________

4... measure from the engine block to the body...   0.02 volts is expected...    your reading.._________________________

post what you get...

with a bad ground..   what you describe can happen..

you could also have a bad ignition switch..
