Greetings! I am a first time BMW owner. Recently bought a 2001 Z3 3.0I, mostly M package with little miles from a friend, who owns a BMW shop. He is the only one to have ever work on this car. It is mechanically and cosmetically perfect!! He told me, and I quickly realized that, stealing someone else' saying, it is the ultimate driving machine, not the ultimate audio machine ... anyone here can tell me what works as far as upgrades, replacement of the audio system?I am not looking for a boom box, just clear, good sound worthy of an audiophile. If necessary I am willing to replace the entire system, just want to now what you have used and how you like it. I'll apreciate any input you have! Hit them straight!!

its really not public knowledge, unless you are good at reading the small print at the bottom...
there are actually 55 sites as i understand..
car stereo stuff is also way out in left field... as most of the posts lately on this forum... are under the hood or under the car...
