the sentry key light come on and the jeep only ran for 3 seconds and shut off. will not start now at all. I am unsure what the problem would be. had the pcm checked and its fine.... checked the wiring and found nothing that could be a problem. any help on this matter will be greatly appreciated. The module in the column is new as of 6 months ago; so it shouldn't be that. any info at all.... any help is greatly appreciated. thank you for your time
plug in a scan tool..... look at trouble codes...be sure to try to start it and then look as soon as you can as security codes reset after a few minutes...then look at the live data stream.. see if you are getting proper crank and cam sensor signals...which engine is it... is there a chance that its one of the overhead cam motors and that the engine was running before the oil pressure came up and the hydraulic timing chain tensioner got shoved backwards and allowed the timing chains to jump time.. if this is an overhead cam motor.. you might be able to see the cam and crank sensor offset problem..one last question.. how are the ground wires to the engine.? can you look around and see that they are all properly installed... if you don't have a scan tool... you are probably going to need on.. the harbor freight 98614 is only 120 and tax..
