So I got some 17x8 Torq Thrust M' for my '68 Mustang. 4.5" backspacing. Backs looked okay, fronts stuck out too much even with a narrow 225/45 tire, it would rub the fenders. So I sent the fronts back and decided to get the same wheel in a 7" with a 205/50 tire. I thought it was the best option rather than sending all the wheels back and finding some available with a bit more backspacing.

Problem is, even though American Racing list a 17x7" on there web site, apparently they don't have any and don't have any on order. That is what I heard from a dealer anyway. American Racing doesn't list any contact info on their website so I can't confirm that for myself. I did find 1 AR email but I didn't get a response.

So now I have back wheels but I can't get matching fronts. It has been so long that I doubt Tirerack will take the others back now.

If anyone has access to American Racing the product I need is the 17 x 7 Torq Thrust M 5 x 4.5 in anthracite (but would consider any finish and paint them myself at this point). Part number 105M7765A

The problem is again complicated because it seems some sites list that as a 6 lug wheel so there has been a clerical error in their product info somewhere.
