I currently just purchased a 2009 Pontiac G6 it has 2 new tires on the front Hankook Optimo H725A 225/50R17 I have decided I want to stay with Hankook tires because of aesthetics unless they give me a great deal on 4 tires. Now should I stick with the Optimo for the 2 tires or should I go with Hankook Ventus HRII H405. It has a better speed rating but the same other ratings except for load. They are rated 340 A A Would it be bad to mix these tires? Thanks.

The best situation is to have 4 identical tires on your car - identical meaning same size, same make, same model, same amount of wear. The further from that you are, the more likely you are to have problems.
I think the best situation would be to get the same tire as on there now, put them on the reaer, then when the front tires wear out - which won't be too long - get the same tire again. At that point you'll have 4 fairly evely worn tires and you'll be able to rotate them to keep it that way.
- OR -
You could spring for 4 tires and get what you want - NOW.

Hankook Tire is focused on research and development with the use of a compound of silica advanced tread pattern offers improved performance all-season, more wear and less rolling resistance for better fuel economy. Thanks to the best of modern technology for the design and manufacture, Hankook continues to manufacture tires with traction and handling that is unparalleled.

This could be said about any manufacturer.
You don't happen to work in the PR department?
