Hey everyone. I'm trying to find out which tire size would be best for the front of my 94 Ford Ranger. It has Weld Drag Stars on it. The rear wheels are 15x10, with 295/50R15 tires. I believe the front wheels are 15x6 or 15x7, and they currently have 205/75R15 tires. They are too tall compared to the rear tires. I was thinking about getting 205/70R15 tires for the front. Would this size go best with the 295/50R15 that are on the rear? Someone told me to get 205/65R15, but I thought they might be a bit too small. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Simple question deserves a simple answer right? Well maybe not. When you say "best for the front of my Ranger" this certainly opens it up to a broad spectrum of interpretation. The "best" size would of course be the factory size, maybe P225/70R14 (or what ever the door placard states). However, with 15X10 dragstars on the rear I would guess there is little interest of reverting back to the stock sizes. The important questions would have to be (1)what is the current/proposed use of this vehicle and (2)what are you looking for as far as a front tire is concerned? Looks, performance, height (vs. rears), improved rolling resistance etc. Knowing this would certainly help recomend the most appropriate product.
