All,

My law firm is working on a class action lawsuit involving vehicles of all makes and models which have keyless, push-button ignition systems.  If you own a vehicle with one of these systems, I would love to hear more about your experience sometime if you are so inclined.  There may be a potentially dangerous defect in the design.

You can reach me any time at (202) 379-4899 or kedwards@levjen.com.  Any information you can provide would be very beneficial.

Thanks,
Kip

Hi Kip,

I saw the piece on the Today Show today about keyless ignitions causing carbon monoxide deaths.  My mother died in July 2009 from that very cause.  It is tragic.  The cars are so quiet, it is too easy to walk away with it running, especially with older people.  Their hearing is usually not 100% anymore.

There should be some safety standard built into the cars as the Today Show highlighted.  I don't know if lack of consideration for potential safety issues constitutes liability.  Regardless, safety changes need to be made.  Unfortunately, it is a lawsuit that gets a company's attention and may be the change agent.

If you get enough of a response to warrant a class action lawsuit, count us in.
