Hi there,
can I ask about buying a used Mercedes off Craigslist here? If not - would you direct me to the right place?
I need a car that'll run well, take me short-ish places, and not run into too much trouble ... I see ones that are priced around 5k. I can give more details if this is the appropriate forum.

i should warn you.. that NO 30 year old car is going to be truly trouble free...   if you have a good.. and reasonably priced mercedes mechanic also...

oh... and if you ever have problems with the brakes... take them in for service.. a lady just rammed my ford van when her brakes failed on the offramp...  she had an earlier model 240D   probably early 70s...   it was a shame.. as that car was so clean... i noticed when the trim came off the right fender.. it was not even dirty under the trim....
