one thing... interior door handles are NOT designed to close doors... some people grab them and try to pull the door closed...
this could be a design error... where the interior door handles are easier to reach than the usually separate door pulls... or what ever they are called.. i am not an interior trim designer..
for decades there have been handle problems with various cars... door pulls separating from the door... screws pulling out.. various designs of threaded nuts that allow the door pull to be bolted to the inner door frame..
if you keep having problems.. stick the broken door handle pieces in the factory package.. send it to dorman products.. they will look at the broken parts.. see if they want to make replacements that work better and solve problems..
i have a customer with a mercedes.. he drives a friend a few times a month.. where the friend lives the curbs are high and have deep grass growing... they keep complaining that when the door gets stuck in deep grass that when they yank it closed.. it knocks off the lower exterior door molding.. that plastic piece about 10 inches tall and runs along the bottom of the door.. it costs almost 80 bucks in parts to reattach it.. there are 10 different part numbers to order.. about 40 parts in total.. so you are not alone.. in having to replace parts again and again..

I have a 2003 Kia Sedona EX, bought 2yrs ago used in very good condition. Recently the outside passenger door handle lost a pin in it and pops out when attempting to open/close the door. Then just a few days later, the outside driver side door handle broke as my (3yr. old) grandson attempted to open the door. This handle actually broke, not just the pin falling out. So, each time you attempt to open/close either of these doors the front side of the handle pops out. This is very frustrating and I was hoping to find others who have the same issue here that could recommend what direction should be taken to have them repaired. I also know another couple who have had the same issue with their's breaking. This should be a recall issue I would think!

I totally agree on the recall issue! just be very careful with the inside ones, I still do not have my driver side door handle fixed yet. They want $220 for it. said heck no! I had just paid for $350 for the other 3, I am not a sucker to fall in that trap!
