Hello,
I am a nOOb when it comes to cars. Just recently during a service I learnt my car tires were in 'dangerous' state with treads of front 1/32, 1/32 and back 2/32, 3/32.
Now I did a little homework and figured newer tires have a tread about 10/32 or 11/32 so I have the following questions:
a. How bad is the condition of the tires - Do I need to get them replaced yesterday or can it hold off a week or so
b. Based on looking around, I can either get Michelin Radial X in a couple of days OR I can wait a week and do a special order and get Michelin Primacy (which are pricey) but I really don't know which ones to go for. Is Radial X considered a decent type or should I spend a little extra and go with the Primacy or other recommendations?
Any recommendations on good tires- I live in a snowy region, drive a camry and don't do lots of freeway drives but only once in a while (a couple of times a month tops)
c. Do all 4 need to be replaced in this condition?
Any suggestions, ideas are much appreciated, thanks!

Hey, First off, what year is your camry, or do you know what tire size your are?
Here are some answers to your questions:
A. Sounds like your tires are near the end of their life. Legally, the minium tread life is 2/32 tread left. In any snow, or rainy conditions you will want at least 4/32 left. So I would say it's time to replace your tires.
B. Radial X are ok, same with Primacy, but there are so many other tires out there. You have a ton of other major label brands and a lot of excellent quality private label brands like Eldorado, Mastercraft, Atlas, Venezia, etc. It really depends on your price range and the need you are looking for.
C. I would def replace all 4 tires considering the tread life you have left. In addition, it's always recommended that you replace all 4 tires when opting for "winter tires". This is because you want to ensure you have the same tread life, speed and load rating on them. It helps ensure that your car handles and performs properly.
You can always take a look at our partner's site: http://www.simpletire.com
Or you can message me if you have anymore questions.
Hope I helped, and good luck!
