I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab with 72000 miles on it. If my uppor or lower ball joints are bad, will I be able to feel the vibration in the steering wheel?

Yes you will. Usually the lowers were out first. Isn't your year, the year that they had a recall on ball joints?

I hate to say this *** If I have to tell you how to check on slack in all the items in a suspension, then you will probably not be able to replace them yourself. you could get a repair manual to show you how to check and replace these items, most have pictures too. P.S. just to let you know something else up front, you will have to remove or at least compress the spring to replace that lower ball joint.

I was kinda figuring on the lower ball joint, but wasn't sure. I replaced the lowers on a 97 Dodge Ram 4x2, is there anything different now that I have a 4x4???
