drivers side.. visible from the back side... under the jeep...

i am taking that you have a 4.0...

the cam sensor is in the distributer...

the crank sensor is back and triggered off the flywheel or flexplate..

post which motor .. or just check back.. i will check on both locations...

you might look under your dash board.. see if your jeep has an OBD2 connector under the dash..

if so.. plug in a scan tool.. get into the live data stream.. look at the crank sensor RPM signal.. got any????

if you flip the key on and off 3 times quickly.. within 10 seconds.. final position being ON..  does the check engine light flash codes at you????/

i have also has the coils go bad...

oh.. and the rotor on the distributer has to point the proper direction on the 4.0 motors.. failure to get this right.. it WILL not start..

If you have a 4.0 the crank sensor is on the driver side(left side)
If you have the 5.2 the crank sensor will be on the passenger side(right side)
