Non-driving female here... hit a curb while leaving a drive-thru at a bank on the front passenger side. Not only did it scratch my wheel pretty bad, it took a chuck out of the tire... now excuse me for my lack of knowledge in automotive terminology, but this is the only way I can describe it. The chunk is on the front of the tire... like if you're looking at the whole tire/rim... not on the part of the tire where the tread is. It is closer to the rim than the outside of the tire. The chunk is say about the size of a nickel and as deep as a nickel.. so basically if you lay a nickel flat into the missing chunk, it would prob fit perfectly. I am supposed to leave for the weekend which would put a total of about 750 miles on the tire round trip... do I need to get a rental and leave my car to get the tire replaced (because they need to be ordered) or do you think I should be ok if I drive slow and careful until I get back?

Replace the tire immediately! Do not drive on it!
