As we all have heard lately Ford has finally introduced the new Ford Police interceptor for the replacement of the Ford Victoria (R.I.P.) This got me thinking about the other police vehicles that our Police department force had and wondered...which is you favorite.


The 2012 Ford Police Interceptor (Taurus)is going to have 265 hp with a 3.5-liter V-6, which will be standard, and will be front wheel drive only. At the same time Ford will offer the EcoBoost twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 which provides 365 hp and will be AWD.


The 2011 Chevy Police Car (Caprice) will have a powerful 6.0L V-8 with fuel-saving Active Fuel Management technology and E85 capability. It is estimated that it will deliver 355hp and 384 lb-ft of torque. The V6 engine will be delivered in 2012 and is RWD.


Finally the 2010 Dodge Police (Charger) has a 5.7-liter HEMI producing 368 horsepower and 395 lb.-ft. of torque. It has a max speed of 146mph and is also RWD. The V6 engine has a 3.5L engine creating 250 horsepower and 250 lb.-ft. of torque.

So which would you give to the police department? Which is the best choice here??

What happened to the Mustangs & Camaros law enforcement used to run?    

The Dodge is still going to get the job done but the Ford Taurus with AWD is nothing to laugh at,it definitely a close second.

HAHAHA....well I'm pretty sure fuel efficiency are in PD's mind and unfortunately both the Mustang & Camaro don't scream that. Should be one heck of a police pursuit though!!
