I replaced the 42re transmission in this with an elecctronic trans. I chanegd the computer and the wiring.  I have power going to everything, but it's not firing.  I have now tried to replace the crank sensor, but that's not it.  Any ideas?

just curious...

did you change the flywheel????    that has the openings for the crank sensor to trigger on...

got spark from the coil wire ??????     is it blue and snappy or orange and weak????

got spark to the spark plug wires... perhaps the rotor has burned through????

are the spark plugs fouled???

take the distributer cap off.. grab the rotor... see if the distributer shaft in the distributer housing wiggles... i have gotten a few bad reman distributers...  where they rebushed them.. and put the old cam sensor back in..

got power to one side of the injectors????  the ECM pulls the other side to ground...    you can use a NOID light to test to see if the injectors are firing properly.. less chance of burning out the ECM..

how about engine grounds...

how about ECM grounds...

got any after market alarm systems preventing you from getting it started.. even if the main box was unplugged..

the flywheels have slots for the crank sensor...   if the slots are not there... or in the wrong place..

no spark... no RPM crank sensor signal to ecm  to control of the engine...

i think autozone.com has some info on that system..   join in the upper right corner of the web page.. then log in..

you can select your jeep and access the free repair info for it..   i will take a look...

i am taking that you have a  4.0 six...   with the renix fuel injection

there are ways to get trouble codes out of that system...

usually by cycling the key on and off 3 times within 10 seconds with the last stop in the run position...

do you have a digital volt meter that has duty cycle and Hz settings..

can you find a receipt or part number for the flywheel you installed?????  so i can compare it to whats supposed to be on there..
