Does anyone know if the small housing maybe 3in in diameter is called the governor on a 350 turbo I believe out of a 72 Monte?  What I thought was the pan leaking is actually a leak coming from directly above the pan on the passenger side out of as I mentioned before a housing about 3in in diameter.  Are their seals or something loose that can cause it to leak?  How does it come apart and how hard is it to do?  Or if anyone as a different suggestion as to what could be leaking my ears are wide open.

You probably have this repaired by now but that item is called the accumulator.

There is a metal ring holding the cover in.

Clean the exterior and pry the ring out.

Remove the cover and replace the "O" ring.

Push the gov. housing in. there will be a retainer ring outside  of it. take the ring out then take pliers and work the housing out. replace the o-ring on the housing that comes out. put it back together and happy driving

relay you are thinking of a 200 series transmission not a TH350.
